{"id":5697,"date":"2022-06-24T16:46:37","date_gmt":"2022-06-24T06:46:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.hearthaustralia.com.au\/?p=5697"},"modified":"2022-06-24T16:46:38","modified_gmt":"2022-06-24T06:46:38","slug":"hearth-workshops-working-in-the-disability-sector-with-whfnc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.hearthaustralia.com.au\/hearth-workshops-working-in-the-disability-sector-with-whfnc\/","title":{"rendered":"Hearth workshops working in the disability sector with WHFNC"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-hearth-builds-its-partnership-with-the-white-hills-football-netball-club\"><strong><em>Hearth builds its partnership with the White Hills Football Netball Club<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><em>WHFNC\u2019s Damian O&#8217;Brien and Tony Gellatly invited Hearth to talk to the players after training Thursday 16<sup>th<\/sup> June about the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndis.gov.au\/\">National Disability Insurance Scheme<\/a><\/strong> (NDIS) and importantly, the significant employment opportunities in the sector and specifically at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/staging.hearthaustralia.com.au\/hearth-opens-bendigo-office\/\">Hearth Support Services Bendigo<\/a><\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Hearth founder, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/staging.hearthaustralia.com.au\/about\/\">Justin Scanlon<\/a><\/strong> along with Hearth Bendigo Team Leader <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/staging.hearthaustralia.com.au\/team\/amanda-marek\/\">Amanda Marek<\/a><\/strong>, and Hearth Support Worker Hamish Richards presented what the role of a NDIS Disability Support Worker is and the \u201cHearth Approach\u201d to disability support.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The holistic&nbsp;<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/staging.hearthaustralia.com.au\/the-hearth-approach\/\"><em>\u201c<strong>Hearth Approach<\/strong>\u201d<\/em><\/a><em>&nbsp;to disability services has resonated with Clients who are looking for a long-term disability support services provider partnership.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"The Hearth Approach - Disability Support Work - Victoria, Australia\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ea6bWUI3jiQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Hearth Support Services has several key elements to its&nbsp;<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/staging.hearthaustralia.com.au\/the-hearth-approach\/\"><em><strong>innovative approach<\/strong><\/em><\/a><em>&nbsp;to disability support services. This includes the&nbsp;<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/staging.hearthaustralia.com.au\/single-client-point-of-contact\/\"><em><strong>Relationship Manager<\/strong><\/em><\/a><em>&nbsp;role, the passion for <\/em><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/staging.hearthaustralia.com.au\/unique-client-and-disability-support-worker-matching-approach\/\"><em>Support Worker matching<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/em><em> of Participants needs and interests and the quality of the central support team including expert compliance.&nbsp;<\/em><em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Importantly, Hamish, pictured above, a current Hearth Support Worker and member of the WHFNC shared his experience, being new to support work.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Hearth opened an office in Bendigo and Geelong last year and have been building a number of key community connections to learn and seek to positively impact the local community.
