{"id":5672,"date":"2022-05-13T16:20:52","date_gmt":"2022-05-13T06:20:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.hearthaustralia.com.au\/?p=5672"},"modified":"2022-05-13T16:20:53","modified_gmt":"2022-05-13T06:20:53","slug":"megan-phillips-appointed-hearth-regional-manager-pbs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.hearthaustralia.com.au\/megan-phillips-appointed-hearth-regional-manager-pbs\/","title":{"rendered":"Megan Phillips Appointed Hearth Regional Manager PBS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-megan-phillips-appointed-hearth-regional-manager-positive-behaviour-support\"><strong><em>Megan Phillips Appointed Hearth Regional Manager Positive Behaviour Support<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/staging.hearthaustralia.com.au\/services\/allied-health\/\"><em>Hearth Allied Health<\/em><\/a><\/strong><em> is thrilled to announce the appointment of Megan Phillips to the newly created position of \u201cRegional Manager Positive Behaviour Support\u201d based in our <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.hearthaustralia.com.au\/hearth-opens-bendigo-office\/\"><strong>Bendigo office<\/strong><\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Megan is a very experienced registered Psychologist having worked for a broad range of organisations including the <\/em><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.vic.gov.au\/\">Department of Justice and Community Safety<\/a><\/em><\/strong><em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vic.gov.au\/department-health\"><strong>Victorian Department of Health<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/amicus.org.au\/\"><strong>Amicus Community Services<\/strong><\/a>, and in private practice.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Over the last 15 years Megan Phillips has worked with people who have a disability with complex behaviours of concern. As a result, Megan has developed extensive skills in high quality clinical assessment, treatment, management plans and interventions. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>More specifically Megan is skilled in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Group Therapy, Case Management, Psychological Assessment,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndiscommission.gov.au\/regulated-restrictive-practices\"> <strong>NDIS Restrictive Practice<\/strong><\/a> and Positive Behaviour Support legislation, including the Authority Program Officer (APO) \/Authority Reporting Officer (ARO) role.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>As our new Regional Positive Behaviour Support Manager \u00a0Megan Phillips will <\/em><em>play a pivotal role in supporting Hearth\u2019s commitment to provide high quality support to its regional Positive Behaviour Support clients enabling them to live their best life. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Hearth Support Services has rapidly expanded its client base across metropolitan Melbourne and Regional Victoria. The holistic <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/staging.hearthaustralia.com.au\/the-hearth-approach\/\">\u201cHearth Approach\u201d<\/a><\/strong> to disability services has resonated with clients who are looking for a long-term disability support services provider partnership.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/staging.hearthaustralia.com.au\/services\/support-worker-services\/\"><strong><em>Hearth Support Services<\/em><\/strong><\/a><em>\u00a0has gone through enormous change over the last 5 years since its inception in 2017!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Today Hearth Disability Support Services is an innovative and rapidly growing NDIS registered and audited provider with hundreds of Clients and hundreds of Disability Support Workers operating 24\/7, 365 days a year.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>At Hearth we have continued to evolve and learn rapidly to build capability, systems, and processes to be able to sustainably support a wide range of Client\/Participant needs, leading to positive outcomes for our participants including some of the highest intensity support Participants in Victoria.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>To this end, during 2021 we expanded our Melbourne support services to create a true client centred interdisciplinary approach to support. The additional services include<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/staging.hearthaustralia.com.au\/services\/allied-health\/\"><strong><em>Hearth Allied Health<\/em><\/strong><\/a><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><em>(Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy) as well as\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/staging.hearthaustralia.com.au\/services\/positive-behaviour-support\/\"><strong><em>Positive Behaviour Support<\/em><\/strong><\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>We also expanded our geographical footprint in 2021 by opening an office in <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/staging.hearthaustralia.com.au\/hearth-opens-bendigo-office\/\"><em>Bendigo<\/em><\/a><em> and in February this year we opened an office in <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/staging.hearthaustralia.com.au\/hearth-support-services-opens-geelong-office\/\"><em>Geelong<\/em><\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>As part of the next stage of <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/staging.hearthaustralia.com.au\/services\/housing\/\"><em>Hearth Housing<\/em><\/a><em> our revolutionary approach to Non-Specialist Disability Housing which we launched in 2020 we recently bought our first \u201cHearth House\u201d in the Melbourne suburb of Croydon.
