I am super excited by the response to today\u2019s event at the Bendigo Library and the opportunity to invest in the Greater Bendigo Region. The response from all attendees and the Zoom participants has been overwhelmingly positive!<\/em><\/p>\n In November last year Hearth Support Services opened a\u00a0regional office<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0in central\u00a0Bendigo<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0which is headed up by local\u00a0Amanda Marek<\/a><\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n Shortly after in December 2021 Hearth hosted its first event\u00a0Hearths \u201cDisability Housing Solution\u201d<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>which really resonated with the Bendigo community.<\/em><\/p>\n As a demonstration of Hearth\u2019s ongoing commitment to the Greater Bendigo Region Hearth staged todays Positive Behaviour Support<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0event in partnership with Dr Erin Leif.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Dr Erin Leif<\/a><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0from Monash University delivered a session that addressed.<\/em><\/p>\n This event is part of a series of professional development opportunities at Hearth, bringing together leaders in the field of Positive Behaviour Support.<\/em><\/p>\n At Hearth, we believe that we have a collective responsibility to promote best practice and share our expertise with the broader\u00a0NDIS<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>community, therefore this Professional Development opportunity was offered free of charge.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Dr Erin Leif is a globally recognised behaviour analyst<\/strong>\u00a0who is a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and Senior Lecturer at\u00a0Monash University<\/a>.<\/strong>\u00a0Erin is enthusiastic about the science of human behaviour, learning, language, and cognition (why we do what we do!).<\/em><\/p>\n Erin\u2019s primary research interests involve the exploration of strategies for\u00a0building the capacity\u00a0<\/strong>of the workforce to better support individuals with additional needs (especially children and young people with\u00a0behaviours of concern<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0who are most at risk for exclusion and social isolation).
